 Connected but Alone by Sherry Turkle

The impact of digital media and technology is ground breaking, but it has become a crutch in communication. Sherry Turkle talks about how conversation is diluted in our modern world and the impact it has on our future. Sherry argues that we have devalued ourselves and our time spent with others. “I share therefore I am”, we edit ourselves into a persona that we believe can get us the most positive reinforcement. People are so nestled into the life behind a screen, that they are isolated from opportunities and experiences from life outside the screen.

Trevor Zak has been my Boss for the past 2, going onto 3 years. He created, and owns Fitness INC. in Cranbrook B.C. We recently built and moved the gym to a bigger and better location. No matter the stress or long hours he spends dedicated to his gym, he always has time to give back. I am so proud of all the money that has been raised for the SPCA!
